Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply to using this website and to commissioning work. Written to be read once and understood, not to be impressive.

About this website

This site is operated by ByrnSites, a one-person web design studio based in Dublin, Ireland, contactable at byrnsites@gmail.com. It exists to describe the service and to let you start a conversation about a project. By browsing it you accept the terms on this page.

Quotations carry no obligation

Any quotation, estimate or indicative price — whether shown on this site, given by email, or discussed on a call — is provided without obligation on either side. Asking for a quote commits you to nothing, and a quote is an invitation to discuss rather than a binding offer.

Prices shown on this site are a guide to typical projects. The final figure depends on what the project actually involves.

Pricing is agreed before work begins

No work starts until the price and scope have been agreed in writing — email is enough. You will not receive an invoice for work you did not agree to.

If a project changes after it starts, and that change affects the price, the change is agreed with you before any additional work is carried out. Anything paid for separately — domain registration, hosting, paid fonts, stock imagery, third-party services — is identified up front and is not included in the build price unless stated.

Ownership of content and branding

The content of this website — its text, layout, imagery, video, code, logo and branding — is the property of ByrnSites unless stated otherwise, and is protected by copyright. You may view and share it, but you may not copy, republish or reuse it commercially without permission.

For client projects, ownership is straightforward: material you supply (your logo, text, photographs) stays yours, and on final payment you own the finished website delivered to you. Any third-party components used in a build — fonts, libraries, stock imagery — remain with their own licensors and are covered by their own licences.

Information is given in good faith

Everything on this site is published in good faith and believed accurate at the time of writing. Even so, it is general information rather than advice, and it may change without notice — prices, package contents, timescales and availability all move over time. Nothing here forms a contract on its own.

Availability of the site

Reasonable care is taken to keep this site available and working, but it is not guaranteed to be uninterrupted or error-free. It may be unavailable during maintenance or for reasons outside my control.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law, ByrnSites is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss — including lost profits, lost business, lost revenue or lost data — arising from use of this website or reliance on its content. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount paid for the work in question.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights under Irish and EU consumer law are unaffected by anything on this page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from use of this website.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The version published here is the one that applies, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.
